There's always something interesting to talk about in this industry. Here is a selection of stories that caught our eye over the last month or so.
Gmail ramps up its enforcement of email sender requirements
Back in February 2004, Google introduced new guidelines for high-volume senders, and now they're beginning to police these more seriously. Google's Postmaster Tools can help you understand how your domain complies with these guidelines.
Starting November 2025, Gmail is ramping up its enforcement on non-compliant traffic. Messages that fail to meet the email sender requirements will experience disruptions, including temporary and permanent rejections.

Yahoo introduces "Insights" for delivery performance
Yahoo has launched a new feature called Insights, giving senders better transparency and visibility into their delivery performance.
You can find the new Insights section in your Sender Hub account under Dashboard in the main toolbar. Once activated, Insights begins displaying aggregated delivery statistics for your verified DKIM domains — offering a clear view of how your messages are performing across Yahoo-managed domains.

DigiCert Acquires Valimail
DigiCert, a major player in digital certificates, is also an issuer of Verified Mark Certificates (VMCs), which enable brands to display their logos via BIMI in email clients. Is this a sign of a broader industry shift toward digital trust marks? Or is DigiCert simply adapting to remain relevant as traditional TLS certificates become commoditized and cheaper?
DigiCert, a leading global provider of digital trust, backed by Clearlake Capital Group, L.P. (together with its affiliates, “Clearlake”), Crosspoint Capital Partners L.P. (“Crosspoint”), and TA Associates Management L.P. (“TA”), today announced the acquisition of Valimail, a market leader in zero trust email authentication delivered as a service. With more than 92,000 clients worldwide, up 70% this past year, Valimail is recognized as a leader in protecting organizations from phishing, spoofing, and domain-based threats.
The acquisition advances DigiCert’s strategy of delivering end-to-end digital trust. Valimail adds leadership in zero trust email authentication to the DigiCert ONE platform that already brings together public CA, private PKI, certificate lifecycle management, and DNS to give customers a unified view of digital trust.
